Why have filtered water in your home?
Although we are very fortunate in this country to have access to great water supplies, what’s in that water isn’t always that welcome.
Impurities such as pesticides, chlorine, lead and even bacteria like E-coli are all found in our water. Installing a water filtering system removes these impurities, leaving you with clearer and cleaner tasting water. Bottled water is pretty expensive too, filtering your own at home will save you money. Use one of our Runbott reusable bottles or coffee cups and help protect our environment.
Water that hasn’t been filtered can leave a horrid scum on the top of your tea, that doesn’t happen when you use filtered water to make it.

Carbon Water Filters
Your water is filtered using a carbon filter similar to the jug ones used. But it’s connected to the main water supply. They’re much easier to use, and a lot cheaper too!
Usually connected to special drinking tap, they are really easy to use. The filter removes chlorine & related substances as well as sand, rust and particles which discolour the water. What you are left with, is fresher tasting water
Cartridges are easily replaced too.
There are 2 great options available:
The TwinTec Drinking Water Filter and The Infinity Filter
Water Purifiers (RO - reverse osmosis)
Water is purified using a process called reverse osmosis, RO for short. RO removes around 95% of impurities & contaminants such as chlorine, limescale, lead, viruses/bacteria and pharmaceuticals (which are flushed away). The water tastes clean and fresh, and is a lot cheaper and better for the environment than buying bottled water! Enjoy with our reusable & sustainable water bottles. Connected to mains water, systems are compact, easy use and easy to install in a cupboard under the counter. Usually in a kitchen or utility room

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Reverse osmosis – the water passes through 3 or more filters, the contaminated particles (such as chlorine) are captured and flushed away down the drain. These impurities are what cause the nasty tastes & odours in your water. The filtered water is then available in a tank ready for use.
Carbon filtration – impurities are absorbed in a carbon filter cartridge and the water fed straight to the tap.
-
We connect a filtration unit and tank for holding the filtered water, usually under a kitchen or utility sink. The unit is then connected to a tap. Some customers also add a chiller unit to the filter.
-
The units contain filters which need replacing, usually once a year. I can supply those to you as and when you need them – just give me a call or pop over to ordering.
